A waterfront area in the New York borough of Brooklyn has become the first city neighborhood to feature free wireless service on streets and in parks and plazas.

Hooray! Free public WiFi is getting closer to all of us.

Technology: Internet Traffic Forecast to Quadruple By 2015

Global online traffic will quadruple by 2015 as the number of gadgets linked to the internet climbs to 15 billion, according to a forecast by networking colossus Cisco.

World Backup Day 2011

When a hard drive fails, if the data isn’t backed up, it’s gone. And it’s not a question of if your hard drive will fail, it’s when.

Today is World Backup Day, although, really, every day should be a backup day.
