Resource: Books Ngram Viewer at Google Labs and soon to be at Google Books.
When you enter phrases into the Google Books Ngram Viewer, it displays a graph showing how those phrases have occurred in a corpus of books (e.g., “British English”, “English Fiction”, “French”) over the selected years.
An interesting tool for academic research into word usage over time.

With all the data Google collects about us and our search histories, could the company use its technical prowess to help catch terrorists and mass murderers before they commit crimes?
Lots of room for debate and lots of room for knee-jerk reactions on this one, but this is a question we need to ask.

Yeah, Israel is not in Europe, so you gotta wonder about the accuracy. It is a start, though.
