Blogs were once the outlet of choice for people who wanted to express themselves online. But with the rise of sites like Facebook and Twitter, they are losing their allure for many people — particularly the younger generation.
It is all blogging, just using different platforms. Remember, blogging is a big word with many definitions.

Blogging has become so widespread that eMarketer reports up to 34% of U.S. businesses are now using blogs for marketing purposes.
Blogs, in general, are a good thing and a great source of information and deals for your customers. Keep in mind, though, that some businesses need a blog and some do not. It is impossible to make a general definition of which should have a blog. There are many factors to take into consideration, including time, resources, and quality/quantity of information.
It is tempting to jump on the hayride before assessing these factors — and then fall right back off. If you do jump on and stay on, though, it’s a great ride.
