Thriv’Ability Special: Earth Hour Every Hour
Contributed by Rick DeVan on March 27, 2010 at 1:36 pm ET
Resource: Earth Hour
Let’s make every hour Earth Hour. Is it possible to do or not do one action each hour to make the best use of our resources? Not just our energy resources, but our financial, emotional, and intellectual resources as well.

We are seeing more and more stories such as this. Best to be safe and not post whereabouts, but in today’s world that is much easier said than done. People, especially younger people, want to have their friends know where they are, who they are with, what they are doing. It’s all rather competitive.

Thriv’Able Thursday (IV): Digital Media Reshaping Culture (Comments)
Contributed by Rick DeVan on at 5:04 am ET
Monday, I posted a link to Texts Without Context with the intent to comment today.
The information is too broad and my knowledge too limited to compose an intelligent opinion at this point. In lieu of a comment I will ask a few questions:
Are we too passive when it comes to this apparent cultural change?
Is it possible to guide the changes instead of being overwhelmed by them or do the changes now come about so quickly that we must either adapt or reject them?
Is this real cultural change or simply technological change?
I do not know the answers nor am I qualified to provide answers. I can ask a lot of questions, though. Everyone’s qualified to ask questions.
