When 82-year-old Jean Evans needed help with her hot water tank, she asked a neighbor.

It ended up taking the world-wide web and some special Facebook friends to solve the problem.

We are often seeing stories such as these. This is a good indication that we are what I call “local aware”. Neighbor-helping-neighbor without judgement. That sort of thing.

This is not to say we are leaving the big world behind. Nothing of the sort. Rather, we are flowing between the big and little — macro and micro — very easily using the same tools.
