(O)RM: Unvarnished

Resource: Unvarnished.

An important thing for all of us to remember is that Google search results, Facebook friends lists, Twitter followers, LinkedIn profiles, and now, apparently, Unvarnished, do not accurately represent a full person or organization.

You will get a lot closer to the full story by simply being old-fashioned and talking with someone.

S’M Tuesday (Special): Scarface Explained

Contributed by Rick DeVan on March 30, 2010 at 7:47 pm ET

I suppose this answers the “why” question from S’M Tuesday (Special): Scarface.

I’m thinking viral videos have seen their day come and, just as fast, go.

S’M Tuesday (Special): Scarface

Contributed by Rick DeVan on at 3:20 am ET

This is appalling until you realize it is a complete hoax. Then it’s just sad.

Luckily, we are still at a place where hoaxes are fairly easy to spot, although I admit this one had me going for a few minutes. The teacher guiding the actor out on to stage is a nice touch that added a degree of realism.

Is this brilliant Web 2.0 / Social Media marketing? My guess is “no”. We already know who made it — less than 12 hours after it was posted. However, I can’t yet determine “why” it was made.

P.S. If you don’t think it’s a hoax, Google cindymomof6’s alma mater: Mount Canyon High School.

There isn’t one.
